Another epic Simple Session has begun!
According to the organizers, tickets for the competitions taking place on Saturday and Sunday are almost sold out, but anyone can enjoy the events happening on Thursday and Friday on the streets of Tartu and along the Emajõgi River for free.
“Since Simple Session will be broadcast on Delfi, ETV2, various X-Games web platforms, Fuel TV, and our own YouTube channel, all enthusiasts can follow the level of the world’s skateboarders and BMX riders, as well as the energetic atmosphere at the Kammivabrik,” says the event’s main organizer, Mario Kalmre.
The skateboarding and BMX competitions will be broadcast with Estonian commentary on Saturday and Sunday via Delfi, and on Sunday via ETV2. Delfi TV will show the Simple Session qualification rounds on Saturday starting at 12:30 PM, and the finals on Sunday can be watched at 1:00 PM (skateboarding) and 6:00 PM (BMX). All times are local, Estonian times.
Nearly 100 skateboarders and BMX riders from 25 countries around the world have arrived for Simple Session. This year, 20 Estonians are participating in the qualification rounds, including 12 skateboarders and 8 BMX riders. There are also athletes from the USA, Japan, the UK, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Spain, and several other countries.
Simple Session schedule for the upcoming weekend:
Thursday, August 22
5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Spectacular Visit Estonia skate trick competition on Estonia’s largest inland ferry, Koit, which will dock on the Emajõgi River near Kaarsild. The event is supported by Visit Estonia and Tele2 and is free for spectators.
Friday, August 23
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Opening of Tartu Tähtvere’s new outdoor skatepark and competition. The event is free for spectators.
Saturday, August 24
12:30 PM – 9:00 PM: Skateboarding and BMX qualification rounds at Tartu Kammivabrik. Tickets: €20-60.

Sunday, August 25
1:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Skateboarding and BMX finals and best trick competitions at Tartu Kammivabrik. Tickets: €30-90.
3:30 PM: Maison Beast best skate trick competition at Kammivabrik.
4:30 PM: Subrosa BMX best trick competition at Kammivabrik.
8:00 PM: The legendary Simple Session afterparty at Kivi Bar. Tickets: €0-5, age limit 18+.
