Simple Session, born in Tartu, Estonia, will start a cooperation with the world-famous X Games competition series this September.

In September 23-24, the always thrilling Simple Session skateboarding and BMX contest finals will reach another 1.6 million subscribers through the X Games YouTube channel, as well as X Games Twitch web television. The organizers see this as an awesome opportunity to increase the spread of the top notch competition organized in Estonia.

“Cooperation with the X Games brings Simple Session to a large number of new audience and confirms the importance of the contest on the world’s extreme sports map,” says the founder and event producer Risto Kalmre.

The X Games hosts both summer and winter action sports contests, but to date, only two athletes from Estonia have made it there: Olympic freestyle skier and nine time Winter X Games medalist Kelly Sildaru and snowboarder Kadri Pihla. At the same time, Simple Session has brought to Estonia dozens of skateboarders and BMX riders who have participated in the X Games. World top extreme athletes appreciate the professional organization and the quality of the competitions held here as well. “Estonian athletes have not yet qualified for the summer X-Games, but we keep our fingers crossed that it will happen someday. Maybe the world’s top action sports athletes coming to Tallinn will inspire the locals,” hopes Kalmre.

In September, several X Games athletes will compete on the arena that will be built at the Põhjala factory in Tallinn. For instance, Australian Boyd Hilder, who earned a silver medal in BMX street racing in July in California X Games and gold at the Japan X Games in May; as well as the American Garrett Reynolds, who won the silver medal in California in street riding and the bronze medal in the best trick competition, and the Mexican Kevin Peraza, who won three medals in July in X Games. Peraza was crowned with gold for street riding, silver for park riding and a gold for the best trick in the park. Among others Colin Varanyak from the USA, Jordan Godwin from the UK, Matt Ray and Dennis Enarson from the USA and Felix Prangenberg from Germany have also confirmed their participation in Simple Session 23. American skateboarders Liam Pace and Chris Gregson have confirmed their participation as well.

Simple Session 23 is supported by Red Bull, LHV, KIA, Ampler Bikes, Canyon Bikes, Radio Bikes, FUSE Protection, Visit Estonia, Sportland, Pringles, Converse, Snowman, VANS, BALLZY, Metsä Wood, Ministry of Culture, Tallinn City, Tallinn – European Green capital 2023, DELFI and Kunstform BMX.
