Rim Nakamura
Japanese BMX prodigy Rim Nakamura may only be 17, but the Kyoto-born teenager, whose father named him after the wheel component, is already making huge waves in the world of BMX freestyle. Nakamura came to worldwide attention as a 13-year-old when his riding clips marked him out as one to keep an eye on. Fast forward 4 years and it’s obvious the predictions were true – the youngster is now competing on the world stage at FISE events, UCI BMX Freestyle World Cups, VANS Pro Cups, X Games and Simple Sessions. And although being a newcomer, he already has an amazing resume – he won the 2019 UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup overall and the big Silver at 2019 X Games. He also qualified 2nd at the Simple Session 2019.
Rim is Japan’s representative at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
